About This Service

Receiving mail can be difficult when someone is experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or another situation in which they do not have a dependable mailing location.

The Resource Center may provide a place for an individual’s mail to be received so the individual can return during open hours and check whether mail has arrived.

Before Having Mail Sent

Speak with Resource Center staff before using the address for mail. Staff can confirm whether the service is currently available and provide the correct mailing instructions.

• Tell staff the name under which you expect to receive mail.
• Ask how your name and the Resource Center address should appear on the envelope.
• Confirm whether the type of mail you expect can be accepted.
• Ask staff about the current process for checking and collecting mail.

Checking for Mail

Visit the Resource Center during its published open hours and ask staff to check for mail under your name.

Calling before traveling may help confirm that the Resource Center is open and that a staff member is available to assist you.
